Divine Music
James Divine (yes, that's his real name) is a Christian saxophonist who believes
music is an important part of our lives, touching not just our ears but our
heart and spirit as well. James started Divine Music in 1995 to provide
positive music in churches, coffeehouses and festivals. James is also a family
man, married 24 years and the father of 4.
What type of music does James perform?
James has been described as The Christian Kenny G. He often takes hymns
and praise choruses and plays them in a jazz style. He has
recently started writing music, both praise songs and instrumental songs.
What To Expect When James Travels To Your Church
When James is invited to your church, he will share in music, testimony and the
Word. His ministry is about 80% music and 20% talking. He asks for a love
offering and to be able to sell his CDs. If more than 3-4 hours of travel is
required, James asks for travel expenses and overnight lodging. A church concert
with James is usually a 45-minute to 60-minute program, although he will adapt
it to the needs of your church.
James ministers in churches large and small and he realizes that many small
churches don't invite guests for a concert simply because they have a smaller
budget. Please don't let that keep you from inviting James. No church or venue
is too large or to small.
A Word About The Booking Process and - Love Offerings.
God has always supplied James' needs. He currently teaches music full time in a
local high school. He comes to your church on a love offering basis. The love
offerings enable him to continue to share his testimony and music to churches
regardless of size. If your church or other venue would like to book
James, please determine the date you want and then check James' schedule for
dates of availability. If the date you want is not listed as available, please
contact him anyway as he may be able to work something out. All that is left to
do is to contact James by email or phone and work out the rest of the
arrangements.
James is very sensitive to your church's needs and is comfortable performing a
few songs for a church service, or a full 45-minute to 1-hour concert. James is
available for church services, church dinners, fairs, or special music for
church revivals. Schedule a church concert with James by himself or add him onto
the concert program that you have with another group that is already scheduled.
